| Black Point Site: This petroglyph site is made up of
three small sites and all are within a short walk from where you park
your vehicle at each site. |
| The turn off for Black Point is approximately 2.5
miles south of Alamo, Nevada. If you are traveling north on HWY
93, it's about 250 yards north of mile marker 36 or .8 of a mile south
of mile marker 37. |
| There is a sign for Buckhorn Ranch Road / Alamo
Canyon Road. Alamo Canyon Road goes to the east and that is the
road you want to take. The Black Point site is approximately 13.6
miles east of HWY 93. |
| Caution: There are
multiple cross roads and forks leading off of Alamo Canyon Road so I
would highly recommend bringing a good topo map and a GPS or navigation
system. I would also recommend a high clearance vehicle. |
| This site is located on your topo maps at the north
end of Delamar Dry Lake. |
| Turn off of highway 93: 37° 19.982' 115°
