The Ash Springs Rock Art Site is accessible with caution by a "higher" clearance passenger vehicle in dry weather. The road has some ruts and sandy spots. Do not try when road is wet or muddy, as you probably will get stuck.
The Ash Springs site is located in Lincoln County, Nevada and is typical of the Great Basin style of rock art. The petroglyphs here show a major amount of weathering and natural spalling along with damage caused by two-footed types of critters.
Location: The Ash Springs Rock Art Site is located approximately 6.9 miles north of Alamo (or if you are coming from the north, it is approximately 5 miles south of the intersection of HWY 93 & SR 318), on the east side of HWY 93 slightly north of mile marker 45, across the road from the white trailer with the white picket fence.
Coordinates are in Lat/Lon NAD 83/84
